Hey I'm back with interwebs access. Just wanted to fill you guys in on what's going on:
Feb 1 is my flight to the motherland. I'll start training on Feb 4th and classes start on Feb 11. My wow account has expired and I'm not sure if i'm going to reactivate it until I get to Korea... and I'll probably be transferring my toons to an oceanic server. As for rolling new toons on this server with you guys, I think i'm going to have to pass on that since the only time I'll be seeing you guys online is if I log in between 1AM-8AM my time... and although you guys are cool, I'm not sure if I'll be dragging myself out of bed that early to noob it up with you guys :P
Anyways, by the looks of things, we're still muddling along in some form or another, which is great. ZOMG alliance, shame on u's!
Hey Dish. I'm excited for ya! Even if you don't tag along for the alliance stuff, PLEASE stop in and say hi when you get a chance. A few of us were talking about bumping some of our 70 horde toons to the Rexxar, and Rey has already done it. You could always push a toon or two over as well (ones that you wouldn't need on the Oceanic server) and we can pal around in Kara or a heroic occassionally. It wouldn't have to be regular or anything, just something we schedule to do on the forums.
Wow, 1-8 am is pretty rough. Still, I hope you'll consider transferring one of your horde to Rexxar, or at least making a wee alt on the alliance side so you can log in from time to time. =P
Best of luck with your move, and keep in touch!I like trees.
In regards to the time zone stuff, I believe when Xyno and I calculated it, if you guys are raiding (or running deadmines or something like that now) at 7PM server time, it would be 10AM for me in Korea. This would be fine most situations since I work from 2PM to 9PM. Who knows, maybe I will make an alliance toon over there just to dink around with
I was bored today so I downloaded a free 7 day trial to LoTR online... I think I ran around for an hour as a chicken, eating worms and running away from foxes... it was pretty cool
I'm in the motherland now and enjoying myself seeing the sea of asian faces. Still haven't gotten a computer so I'm posting at the ubiquitous PC Room that is available every 20 feet here in korea. I had my first day of training and I'm pretty excited, I think teaching these kids is going to be a lot of fun. Aside from that, I've just been shopping for all the crap that one needs in order to survive (shampoo, frying pan, Illy espresso, etc). The evenings tend to be pretty boring since I don't have a stereo or computer or cable yet in my place, and when my sister is busy, I'm pretty much just sitting in my apartment, playing my game boy and reading... all i can think is that my pally would be 70 right now...
Anyways, hope everyone is doing well, missing you guys
Pictures... Dish... pictures. You've gotta make this a travelogue. How else am I ever gonna get to Korea? :P
I'm glad you made it there safe and sound, and the job sounds great. Be sure to hollar if you need/miss anything stateside. Just yesterday EVERY store in America opened its doors and was handing stuff out free. Some kind of saturation strategy to help boost the market, but I didn't quite follow.
Hey dish! Glad to hear you made it there safe + sound and all that. If the PC rooms in Korea are anything like the ones in China they are packed with kids talking over webcams! =P Otherwise yes please post some pics to show us around! You don't have to point out which face is yours if you dont want to. ;p
